Blake Hampson has joined Komosion as a digital business strategist. He has been helping businesses with digital transformation for several years. With extensive experience in marketing technology stacks and a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem, Blake brings a wealth of knowledge to the fold.

Blake’s journey in digital began as an analyst for Salesforce implementations where he worked as a junior consultant in North America with teams from Accenture, Google Fiber and Marriott International. He then moved on to become a digital project manager, where he led the development and implementation of several complex digital projects. His passion for creating unique digital experiences that help brands get noticed and grow their reach has made him a sought-after consultant for organisations looking to transform their digital strategies.

His role is to manage client relationships, provide business analysis on key projects and supporting the company’s Technology Director in solution architecture.

One of Blake’s most notable recent projects was as the digital manager of Destination Gold Coast, where he was responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital transformation strategy. Blake worked closely with the leadership team to identify key digital trends and opportunities and then developed a roadmap to help take advantage of these trends in the launch of the new website and marketing technology stack.

Blake believes that building strong relationships with clients requires trust in his expertise as a consultant. He works to establish himself as a trusted advisor by asking questions and being well-informed to provide the best solutions for his clients. “I ask a lot of questions to make sure I understand the needs of an organisation and their customers, but I also firmly believe in the power of simply observing how people act. Because sometimes what people say is not always borne out in their actions. So it’s also important to just observe people and how they interact with the touchpoints of an organisation. A good solution, no matter how detailed, is always better when well-informed by these observations.”

Looking forward, Blake to plans to stay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning and generative AI to enable digital transformation for global businesses and their employees.

“With generative AI, the digital world is becoming ever noisier, opening up exponential opportunities for organisations to pursue. The biggest challenge will be focus. Brands that cut through the noise will inform their AI models with good data about their users. This will require an even deeper understanding of the digital user journey in order to prioritise the most impactful magical moments.”

In addition to his work as a consultant, Blake is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys. “I look forward to teaching my boys how to navigate the digital world successfully.
