As foreshadowed in June, for the last six months Komosion has been “head down, bum up” rapidly building and applying our competency in AI to our own challenges and to those of key clients.
We’ve done this in a number of ways:
- Augmenting the way we work with AI;
- Automating activities with AI (but keeping “humans in the loop”); and
- Using AI to help us see patterns and generate “intelligence” literally not otherwise humanly possible.
There have been plenty of learnings:
- AI is powerful—but with limits
- Governance matters as much (if not more) than the technology
- Productivity gains are real—but uneven
- People across businesses need AI literacy to avoid strategic missteps
- AI augments judgement—but it doesn’t replace it
- Capability is the differentiator

In short, we’ve concluded for ourselves and our clients that success in this new world requires building an AI-capable workforce and leadership team.
These are issues businesses are facing worldwide. A US analyst covering Salesforce recently reported that its “Agentforce” offering – which promises to complete tasks such as business development and customer service without human supervision – has been largely limited to experimentation in part due to disorganised data.
“Duplicates, missing values, and conflicting product naming conventions meant
we couldn’t move to AI analysis”
The second: we secured data on sales of 1.4 million plus items from 40 retail partners for a major client.
But we discovered each retailer used different systems, recorded product information inconsistently, and had their own data conventions.
Only then could we layer on the automation – web scraping to enrich datasets, machine learning models to identify patterns, and dashboards to surface the intelligence our client needed.

As 2025 draws to a close, we have found some calm amid the AI storm and look forward to sharing continued learnings and helping more clients harness new AI superpowers for their businesses in 2026.
For those clients and friends of Komosion heading into a well-deserved Christmas break, we wish you happiness and good health for the festive season.
For those planning to get a head start on 2026 in December or January, we’re working right through (bar the public holidays) and are here to help.
