InterContinental Sydney Double Bay Responsive Website Build – Web design, Development, SEO Analysis

The Challenge

InterContinental Sydney Double Bay, Sydney’s newest five star property commissioned Komosion to create a visually engaging new website to promote the hotel’s accommodation, restaurants, bars and conference facilities and compliment the global InterContinental Hotel Group website. The new website was to be optimised for tablet, desktop and mobile devices.

Critical to the project was ensuring prominent calls to action to generate new accommodation and integration of booking engines.

The Solution

The project involved undertaking customer experience research, mystery shopping, stakeholder interviews, and a full User Experience Analysis to identify a fit- for-purpose solution. An SEO analysis was also undertaken to identify keywords.

The Result

Komosion developed a highly engaging responsively designed website that had strong calls to action. The new website effectively rendered on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

The site was developed by Komosion’s technical team on the Drupal CMS 

The site featured a unique ‘magazine’ style fascinator concept, events calendar, social media integration and interfaces with the IHG rooms and restaurant booking engines. 

Based on the outcomes of the SEO analysis, Komosion’s copy writer developed SEO friendly copy for the site and a mass upload of content was undertaken.
