Caravan and Camping Industry Association NSW – Website Build – Web design and Development

The Challenge

The NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association engaged Komosion to redesign its website in order to to improve the customer experience including via a more contemporary look and feel designed to inspire and motivate caravan and camping experiences, improve site engagement and lead generation. The new website needed to be optimised for tablet, desktop and mobile devices.

The Solution

The project involved undertaking customer experience research and stakeholder interviews to identify a customer-focused solution that would provide inspiration and information about the Caravan & Camping experiences available in NSW.

The UX and Creative Team developed responsive wireframes and engaging designs. We adopted a ‘mobile first’ methodology, designing for mobile devices and then adapting designs for desktop and tablets.

The Result

Komosion has delivered a highly engaging, mobile-optimised website. The content was migrated from Komodo CMS to Kanvas.cloud, powered by open source platform, Drupal. The new site features enhanced functionality to showcase holiday parks and product/service provider listings with regional locality search and individual detailed listings for each. Tagging and categorisation was built into the editing interface to allow for simple mapping of features, locations, parks and services. Komosion also included GeoLocation for Google Maps location information. The content layouts are flexible and highly configurable, particularly for pages relating to shows and expos. Blog content was introduced as a way of building a connection with the audience.
