Biology Smart Skincare – Responsive Website Build – Web design, Development

The Challenge

Biology Smart Skincare, part of the successful Australian-owned Vanity Group skincare portfolio have raised the bar to new heights in the skincare industry, releasing a new product range that is simultaneously ethical, environmental and responsible. Biology has ensured its products remain Australian made, use bio-degradable packaging, are not tested on animals and remain free from environmental hazards such as sulfates and plastic microbeads.

It was essential for Komosion to successfully represent Biology’s premium brand values and communicate its key messages to online customers, driving web-based sales and engagement.

The Solution

For ease of online shopping and maximisation of customer interaction and brand awareness, Komosion’s developers customised the existing site and have developed a truly mobile responsive, e-commerce site.

Komosion developed wireframes to improve UX across all product pages. In particular, the introduction of the accordion style menu to allow for a better display of information and a better user experience. Updated designs were implemented in the build to refresh the site’s overall look and feel.

For key messaging and brand awareness, Komosion recommended and implemented blog and social media functionality to enable Biology Smart Skincare to share content and engage with its community and educate consumers about its key ethical values.

The Result

Komosion has customised a beautiful new mobile responsive site that successfully represents the Biology Smart Skincare brand and values, providing online shopping ease in the luxury skincare marketplace. The product pages now display information in a neat and aesthetic way that is easy for the user to navigate and purchase products. A blog has been implemented that allows Biology to write extensive content about the brand and what is represents and an Instagram feed has also been implemented to increase consumer engagement.
